Chiropody (Foot Care)

In order to assist AJHS clients in their overall health, we have a chiropody (foot) clinic for maintenance of general foot health and managing unexpected foot ailments.  We provide assessments and treatment including diabetic foot ulcers, warts, skin infections, fungal nails and soft tissue surgeries for a variety of reasons such as ingrown toe nails.  We also fabricate custom orthotics (shoe inserts) for those with foot deformities and/or sports injuries.

The Anne Johnston Health Station currently offers two types of foot care services:

Chiropody for seniors and people with physical disabilities: If you are a person with a physical disability or a senior over the age of 55 years and interested in receiving chiropody services, please contact us at 416 486-8666. Please note that chiropody services are closed to external referrals.  Referrals eligible for chiropody include registered AJHS clients that see a doctor or nurse practitioner for primary care and do not have private health insurance.

Chiropody for individuals with diabetes: If you have type 2 diabetes and are interested in receiving chiropody services, please contact us at 416-486-8666 for eligibility criteria. Please click here for more information about The Mid-Toronto Diabetes program.
